Healthier Hot Cocoa Mix

Creamy and packed with real chocolate, this is one hot chocolate mix you'll feel good about enjoying again and again. 

After a long day spent playing (or shoveling) snow, you deserve a warm, creamy cup of hot cocoa. Unfortunately most store-bought mixes are filled with processed ingredients and anything except the real stuff.

Thankfully, this Healthier Hot Cocoa Mix is super quick to put together and lasts in your pantry for up to one month so you can always have some ready this winter. 

And don't forget the healthier marshmallows to make this this a cup worth serving! 

Healthier Hot Cocoa Mix

Makes: 2.5 cups

Time: 5 Minutes

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut sugar

1 1/2 cups raw cacao

2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot starch

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or inside of one vanilla bean)

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions:

1. In a bowl or jar combine all of the ingredients until fully incorporated. 

2. Store in an airtight container for up to one month. 

3. When ready to use, add 2-3 tablespoons of the mix to 8 ounces of warmed milk of choice (almond milk, whole milk, coconut milk, etc). Whisk well until dissolved.

Don't forget to serve with homemade marshmallows!
